Panda Dogs???????

I got so angry earlier! People are dying their dogs to look like PANDAS and TIGERS! That is SO cruel! That could poison them! Dogs are DOGS, don't make them look like pandas!!!

This is just like the hermit crabs being painted, and the paint flaked of and the hermit crabs ate it and died! But this is worse, because it is with a domestic animal, that is almost said to have human rights, and you could poison it!

What happens to the painted dogs and cats when the wash themselves by LICKING THEIR FUR that now has SPRAY PAINT ALL OVER IT! ARGH!

Discuss this cruelty!

AHEM!

The Article wrote:

Named after the quirky detective in the hit TV series 'Columbo', this Maltese-Poodle mix is the talk of the town in Tokoyo. His owner, Kensuke Hirakawa, adopted him after Columbo's previous owner abandoned him (reportedly due to his ugly looks...) and had sent him off to die.

Although Columbo was a bit aggressive and barked non-stop at first, Kensuke saw potential in this little droopy-eyed fur ball and took him in and he soon became tame. Poor Columbo had been through a lot and had the marks to prove it - a stiff back leg, tear-stained eyes and all his canine teeth had been removed (to prevent biting). But being a former beautician and pet shop owner, it didn't take long for Kensuke to hatch a crazy little plan for an Extreme Doggie Makeover!

Using completely safe (non-toxic) black hair color for dogs, Kensuke dyed parts of Columbo's dingy white fur in the striking pattern of the panda that most of Asia is so well known for.

And that's the reason. It's not cruel at all.

Re: Panda Dogs???????

It's not cruel, but I'm not sure I really like it.

Re: Panda Dogs???????

I don't understand why you would do that to an animal...it seems just plain mean. But it isn't exactly cruelty since I doubt that the paint will harm the dogs at all physically.

When they lick themselves to clean them, they will be licking paint and dyes.

I have to say, if you want it done, get it completely non-toxic by a proffesional. And for the panda, the dye is too close to the eyes. It could cause an infection.
