Being able to edit sounds!

Think about it a lot of the time the sounds are songs. What if you were able to put digital effects into the sounds like you are to edit pictures. For instance being able to rewind a sound or fast-forward it. You could easily make a d.j. "scratch" project with those two effects. Or you could be able to mask your voice or make your voice go higher or faster so you could sound like a chipmunk or have your voice go slower so you could sound like that evil person you needed voiced for your game.  It would look something like this.

[blocks]<change[ pitch ]effect by( 50[/blocks]

The possibilities are endless people!!!

Yeah but I mean like during the projects while their happening like if you pressed a button it could increase the effect or decrease the effect  that way you wouldn't have to download lots of different sounds slowing your game down in the long run.

Re: Being able to edit sounds!

with Audacity you can record a sound, add effects to it, change the speed, change the pitch, and lots more that I still don't understand

Re: Being able to edit sounds!

But you'd have to download the same sound but with higher or lower pitch for instance if you want to make a game where you used an effect on your voice like a dj game you'd want to be able to adjust the effect say... higher or lower pitch you could use a slider to adjust the sound to exactly the pitch you wanted vs. downloading it multiple times and  being able to adjust the effect but with limited control making the game slower in the process because you have so many sounds.

Re: Being able to edit sounds!

I say scratch should come with a basic sound editor where you can change pitch, add effects, change volume, etc. but not so good it has MIDI input and stuff.
