What kind of sound files does Scratch use?

What kind of sound files does Scratch use? I think it uses MP3, or is it something else?

Wav files aswell. The rest don't work, unless you get a converter or something like Audacity.

I don't think mp3's work....Just convert them to .wav files....on a Mac you just change the extension and it does the rest.

Scratch converts the mp3's its self.
