FLOW® - A Revolutionary Creation Team

http://i50.tinypic.com/513i8g.png
What is FLOW®?

FLOW interactive (FLOW for short) is a creation team that creates games, music, and simulations.

What makes FLOW® special? It's just another company, right?

Wrong. FLOW is not just a company - It's a new approach to entertainment companies on Scratch. What makes FLOW special is that in FLOW, projects go through different stages:

- Design

- Illustrate

- Program

- Patch

- Evaluate

- Release

Unlike most companies, ongoing projects are organized so that developers don't get mixed up. During cooperative projects, staff are assembled to each stage, which allows the project to advance at a flowing pace. (By the way, we prefer the term creation team to company)

How do I join?

Each applicant must create an alarm clock that demonstrates their abilities in Creativity, Graphics, and Programming ability (applies to new members). The more efficient, pretty, and revolutionary the better. Paste the link to the project on our gallery when you are done.

FLOW® Gallery

FAQ:

Can you explain in detail what is supposed to be done in each creation stage?

Design: Developers think up ideas for the project and design some sprites for the project. Usually in this stage, a prototype project with some of the important scripts that are going to be in the final product will be uploaded for others to see.

Illustrate: Artisans create or find sprites for the project, compress them into a RAR or ZIP file, upload it onto uploading.com, and give the download link to the programmers.
Each set of sprites must be labeled (eg. Running1, Running2, Running3 . . .).

Program: At this stage, programmers will program the actual product using the sprites and ideas brainstormed from the stages before.

Patch: After they finish, the lead programmer will upload a beta version of the project onto their test account, or the team test account. The patch team will then set out to hunt for bugs.

Evaluate: After the bug hunting has finished, team members will view the project and point out things that need improving.

Release: When the project is completely free of bugs (or mostly), and is ready for release, the advertising team will post a spectacular ad for in the Show and Tell forums.

Voila - Finished project  big_smile

Re: FLOW® - A Revolutionary Creation Team

Hello! you offered a job as lead programmer so I decided to take you up on your offer. Remember that optimization is always faster if the person optimizing has had a part in the main programing otherwise I will have to sit and stare at the program until I understand it. So your rhythm tap game will take longer than expected. Analyzing is a slow process.
It might be a good idea to make comments and program notes mandatory during programing I have been using notes for a while now and I can always come back to any of my programs no matter how long I have left them.

I've reviewed your company, and it seems really professional. I can't wait to see you guys in action. Also, no need to show off what torrents you got

Torrents are links to a website which allow a program to constantly download from it.
Which doesn't make much sense here.

Hive is a great game! Welcome aboard. Which 3 sections would you like to join?  And about the holiday, it's alright. Our next big project will take 6 months to finish  big_smile

Exactly. I didn't upload any .torrent files, and don't see why I should use P2P for Scratch projects  big_smile

Re: FLOW® - A Revolutionary Creation Team

Okay, I'll just disregard that. Also, posting that much against something makes it seem like it's true and you're trying to hide it.
Also, his definition was not accurate, either.
You should add a member list in the first post so people would know what jobs were still open and what aren't.

Ummm... why would I try to hide a torrent? LOL. Torrents are of no relevance to this topic. And, thanks for the advice!

My definition is most certainly accurate under many circumstances.

A "torrent" or torrent file Is a short piece of of information that gives the links to many other computers. As well as the host website so you can download bits and pieces of a whole file from other people that have downloaded different pieces. In doing so you can obtain the file in a fraction of the time. This system is used in Bittorrent. A program I adore for it's interesting programming and ideas.
