Hacked BYOB

I made a hacked BYOB, which is BYOB with the developer menu so you can hack it. It comes with an exclusive x-Ray BYOB gobo! Download it here!

Re: Hacked BYOB

Nice! But you really don't need to hack BYOB to get to its Squeak side, just start BYOB on your Windows PC from the command prompt like this (or better put the following line into a file named BYOB-dev.bat):

   start BYOB.exe BYOB.image %1 dev

Simpleazzat  smile

Anybody know how to do this on a Mac?

Oh, and while you're at it: Why don't you try porting Panther to BYOB and turn it into something new? I bet that would be ultra-cool!

I tried that with importing Slash, and it didn't work.

I tried that in every way I could, but each time it gave me an error.

EDIT: nvm, I got it to work. What you do is you make a folder right in the C: directory, then copy the BYOB.exe and BYOB.image files into the folder. And for the .bat file, modify it to say this:

Code:

start %CD%\BYOB.exe %CD%\BYOB.image %1 dev

The glass is never half full nor half empty; it is twice as large as it needs to be.

Re: Hacked BYOB

Well, just importing some code won't cut it, you'll need to adjust it, so it works with the target system. So what you do is go feature-wise and do it one step at a time  smile
