Adding a question mark to <[list] contains [thing]>

Doesn't a question mark belong at the end of <[list] contains [thing]>?  big_smile   big_smile   big_smile

YES YES YES YES YES

Boolean blocks are supposed to have question marks... why didn't I notice this?  sad

Re: Adding a question mark to <[list] contains [thing]>

What makes more sense:

If list contains thing, move 1 step

If list contains thing? move 1 step

I don't think it needs one

But most of the other boolean blocks end in a question mark: <loud?> <mouse down?> <key[  ]pressed?>

^ I hate these forum blocks.

Yes but I don't think any should, list contains thing is the only one that is right!

They're questions, why shouldn't they?

None of the booleans in "Operators" have question marks.

The block in question is a variables/list block. At least it is now. This is a really stupid argument, guys.

Re: Adding a question mark to <[list] contains [thing]>

Boolean blocks are questions - such as "is the mouse down?". In normal sentences, you put question marks, right? (Like I just did!  tongue ) So boolean blocks should have question marks also...

The Scratch Team seems to want them - if not, why would they have put question marks on the end of other boolean blocks?  smile

Yep but it doesn't say is the mouse down, it says "If mouse down do this:"
Anyway its up to the scratch team to decide what to do, its their game and it makes sense either way.
It seems at the moment they are not putting ones in operators either.

They're not sensors though...

Well, I don't care if there is or isn't a question mark, I just think they should keep it consistent  smile

Which, becuase they already have added a question mark to the current sensor blocks, the <[list] contains [thing]> block.
