Before I start, I should let you know that I just started using Photoshop, so I'm sorry if I am making a really basic mistake.
I am using Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac.
I want to put some layer styles, so I select a layer and click the Layer Styles button, which is the second icon under "Effects." From stuff I read online, I'm pretty sure a drop-down menu to pick the style should come up, but it doesn't, unless I go to the "Quick" or "Guided" tab and then go back to "Full." The problem is that the menu won't drop down. I click and click and click and all I see is "None." So... Help?
Gracias.

Only post if you have something useful to add... and don't post just for a higher post count.

There might be something wrong with your version. How did you obtain it?

Well that's the problem. You're using Photoshop Elements. Photoshop Elements is for editing and adding special effects to Photos. Although I could be wrong.... Photoshop is normally $700, Elements is about $100 or less.

Search for Mac help
This isn't a normal error. Your version may be faulty, so go talk to customer support at the store

I don't think that's the problem, since every Elements tutorial I saw included the drop- down...

OK, thanks. I guess that was the answer I was looking for- I was mostly wondering if it was my fault or the computer's/program's.
