Upload problem

I see we are not the only users having problems uploading projects.  However, we are doing so from a network behind a firewall.  Can you advise as to (a) which protocol is used for the upload (http/ftp) (b) which ports are used (c) any other configuration information we need for the firewall.  We are using Windows XP Pro SP2 (client), firewall is ISA2006.

Many thanks

James.

Re: Upload problem

Scratch uploads projects to the host scratch.mit.edu using the HTTP protocol on port 80 .

Re: Upload problem

There are many reasons why an upload might fail - including a file size over 10MB, some firewall/network security settings, and unreliable Internet connections.

A full list can be found here:

The simplest solutions are often:
- compress images and sounds (with the option under Scratch's Extra's menu)
- Add Scratch as an exception to firewall blocking on your firewall software
- And using a computer with a broadband Internet connection
