Schizo Island 3D is a short, point-and-click-style, first-person-adventure simulation where you use both the arrow keys and mouse to navigate and investigate your surroundings. The graphics are a 3D scene I created and rendered, or 'formed' into 2D images.
Project was made with Google Sketchup, Bryce 5.5, and Scratch.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I have barely 3D modeled at all, and so my graphical skills might not be what you approve of. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. If you would like to make a call, please hang up and try again-- lol
Here is the story:
You are on vacation-- What made this vacation any different from the rest? I mean, sure, there were less bathrooms than usual-- being on a small, largely unexplored island, 'of course'. There is a big city on the east cost of the island which has an airport (how else could you have gotten there?), but you decide to go west-- the unexplored part of the island. Being the adventurous one, you want some fun-- and for you, nothing's more fun than going out on your ole' rowing boat to fish. While you are out there, something catches your eye in the distance. You row what seems like forever until you reach it-- an island-- small and deserted... at least that's what you think. A bit of exploring, and you will discover things are not always as they seem-- and what you see is a little hard to believe.

JOURNAL:
11:57pm 7/9/2010 I finished rendering the images.
5:36pm 7/10/2010: I decided to do the programming myself, though I might need help with toggling; btw, I decided that to make it easier for me (and more logical for you), I made it to where: you can only turn around once you've gone through the entire area. Because there are three dead ends, and turning around on each frame of going forward from that area would be a pain to do, so you now only turn around at these dead end areas once you reach the end. It's only logical. Only illogical humans would turn around midstep XD.
Anyway, the only other place you can turn around freely, is in the study, though not when you are zoomed in or zoomed in on the desk.
Btw, the study is going to be a pain to program DX lol

I have a poll:
Should I put in a better quality music I have or can find as background music, or should I make my own background music with one or two instruments and less quality? So...
1. Better-quality non-original soundtrack
-or-
2. Lesser-quality original soundtrack
What do you think? PLEASE post your vote so that I can get this done >.< lol

For the poll, I'd say #1. But not a famous song. Just something you find on Newgrounds... or something.
And the graphics are made all in Blender?

Ok. Lol I had just made a 1 minute strings loop but oh well. If I can find something better...
By the way I made the graphics in Google Sketchup with Bryce. I might be using Hexagon demo or something for material editing...

Oh. Okay. Actually, let me hear the music loop you made.
Okay. I just thought, since you said "rendering", I thought you meant Blender.

cool I actually might need your help I'm not sure yet; I'll see once I try it lol .
Btw, random note to everybody, but I was also planning on maybe making a platformer game... in 3D! ooo lol. I was thinking a cave with water, but I might change my mind. Maybe a forest of trees? Rocks? A space thing? MAybe I could make a 3D animation instead! lol
DID YOU KNOW, that I LITERALLY, yes LITERALLY, have almost ONE HUNDRED ideas/themes/concepts for Scratch Projects!? Tis true lol. BUT, half of them would not be good in Scratch projects as much- like stories, or complex games
oh well lol there's always other stuff

I have alot of time on my hands, so I just sorta work on projects that I want every now and then, and then go back to being lazy on the forums and drawing

Lol sounds a little like me
Hmm... if I don't do the programming, it might be hard to explain to you what to program lol >.<

Hmm... I thinnk it's kind of repetitive and sad. Maybe a suspenseful theme.

Omg I just found a good song (sounds a little middle eastern though) but I want to save it for another project that I might do later XD. No use in repeating songs! lol
I guess I'll make a suspenseful song if I can; though it probably won't sound ANYTHING good XD

I tried making one, and it didn't work, lol. I'm TERRIBLE at suspense >.<
So I decided to look some more through my songs, and I found one

Hmmm
Well I started programming, but it's not going is planned///
I came across several bugs too.
ok MANY bugs, lol (OF WHICH I CAN'T FIX)
So I'm looking for a programmer to program for me
Thread is here: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=40264
Download the project here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Ludichris1/1187111
Otherwise this project is on halt.

Wow. That is just awesome. It should be made into an actual game if it turns out really good, so I wish you the best of luck!
