I doubt that this highposting fad will be around for long, the amount of scratch mods popping up is slowing, that fad is over, so its likely this one will die down as well.Maybe it wouldn't have to be a 300 second rule, maybe a 180 second rule.
90 seconds would be fair. It would cut the max amount of posts an hour by half.

That's true. But once the "forum domination" trend stops, we probably won't have to change the rule.

I hope so. Yet it is, if I dare say, fun to see who has the most posts. Though its unfair for the newer users, or the ones who aren't as active.

Well, there is one way to solve this.
Put the Top 100 into a new user category. Then the new people will have the 600, the members will have the 60 and the spammers -I mean high post counters will have the 180-300

I still think 60 seconds is fair.
Maybe have a warning system that increases your post time:
Normal User - 60 secs
New User/Warning 1 - 100 sec
Warning 2 - 180 secs
Warning 3 - 300 secs
Warning 4 - Banned

Yeah, it is pretty fun. I'm pretty new to the forums, and to me it seems impossible to have more than a couple hundred posts. But a lot of users have more than a couple thousand...it's going to take me a while to catch up

Just look at the joining dates for the highest posters, then you'll realize how we have so many, besides ace-ofspades who was just crazy with his posts.

What happened to him?
He was around for two months, did a load of posts then left

Probably got bored or went off to dominate another forum, if he'd stayed he'd have beaten FMT in another couple of months. He was a cool guy.
