It all depends how long you've been on the forums. How long have you been on the forums?

Hi! I am a new game programmer. I am only 7 years old but my father, Locomule, is helping me learn.I like scary stuff, rock and roll, Twilight, and Ozzy Osbourne. My mother works at a museum and I love making art.

Hi Locomouse! Have fun on Scratch - I suppose you can always ask your father if you have any questions; he's a great help on the forums.

Hi Locomouse! I remember Locomule - when I saw you (Locomouse), I went !
If you have any questions, you can ask around - or ask your father.

Haha, making games with Scratch is like riding a bike. Just do little projects first and work your way up to the more complex ones.
As for the posting time, it's probably because they want to keep spamming down.

Why is there waiting time of 600 seconds between posts?
There was a wave of spammers before - the 600 seconds delay was put there to slow down the spammers.

Hello. I have been on here for a couple of months preparing for an event. We are conducting a Scratch workshop in the Girl Scout San Jacinto Council (Houston TX area) on July 10,17,24. The projects we have uploaded are initial demonstrations and work scripts to show how to build a script emphasizing sprites/backgrounds/movement (bat movement), movement using the mouse (modified arrow script). We won't start with the full project stored on the Scratch web site but build the script from the initial basic movement (bat glides) and then add other features to demonstrate the use of loops, controls, sensing, and variables/operators. The remix on the weather simulation will be presented as example of combining many ideas into a project in preparation for the girls to build their own project. The weather simulation is especially useful as the original project we downloaded from the shared site had several problems which we will use to illustrate layering, timing, and the use of control buttons.

Sounds like an interesting program! Welcome to Scratch and I hope you have fun with your workshop

No, really it was 600. I'll try to post right after I post this one, and if I was wrong I'll edit, but I am 99% sure it was 600
