background

I wanted to use the background number as a variable, but the background number block (round and in the looks category), is only available when you click on the stage. I dragged it onto the sprite image I wanted to put it into to make it appear there, and then inserted it into the script using the following block: <(  <background<4>  )>. However, when I tried to run the program, the background block turned red and the program didn't work right. I'm wondering if the program has some objection to using the background block in sprites, and if so, how I can overcome that.

Re: background

You can't use the (costume #) block in the Stage and the (background #) block in sprites. If you want to use those blocks there, do what markyparky56 said.  wink

Even if they're not needed? But yes, they are underused.
