Re: Your ISP

Rogers. And, like Blade-Edge, I hate them.

They're unreliable, SUPER-expensive, and they change all 404 pages to some really dumb version of Yahoo Search... they just list off their sponsors and give a dumbed-down version of Yahoo Search. Ugh.

Also, they have terrible customer support, and they lie about being the fastest network.

The only problem is, in this part of Canada, you only have two options for any real communications service: Bell and Rogers. All the other "providers" are just divisions of the company, though they try not to be. Bell is going downhill, though. Neither of them advertise fairly, both of them are overpriced, and both of them are extremely unreliable and provide very little customer support.

Re: Your ISP

Oh yeah, that reminds me. My dad has Bell and my mom has Rogers
My dad gets unlimited calls to other countries at a fixed rate, and his internet limit is 60 GB while Rogers is 25 GB for the same price.
I also have this theory that Rogers and Bell are secretly the same thing.
Those ads with the couches were too planned out

Urg, it absolutely disturbs me - because the results have nothing to do with what you're looking at. For instance, I get a 404 on a Harry Potter website? It comes up with some DigiKey thing because it ends with .com... Ridiculous!

Re: Your ISP

I quite like my ISP. It is Westnet and it's only in Australia. I can get ADSL 2+ with speeds up to 20Mbps (depends on how many other people there are and how far away I am) I usally get 4.5Mbps on average. I think I should move next to the building so I can get the full 20Mbps.

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

Re: Your ISP

I've got Quest. It's slow, but aside from setting it up, which took 5 hours, it's great. When I say slow, I mean like 20kbps. At that speed it takes 15-20 minutes to download scratch.

Re: Your ISP

I use Insatnet (small company that mostly focuses on the small town I live in), my average speed is about 15-20 Mbit/s and sometimes up to 30 Mbit/s.
4G is coming to my town soon and then we might switch, cause they have promised speeds up to 100 Mbit/s.
