WHAT?! I'm having a weird remixing problem

Well yesterday I uploaded my project Scratch 2.0 Block Ideas. It is a project meant to be remixed with everyone's ideas, so like a minute after I uploaded it recycle49 did a remix (on his/her remix account) and linked to his/her remix in a comment. (The first remix) When I looked at my project right after recycle49 remixed it, it said that no one remixed the project. I then thought it just takes a while to update. I logged on this morning, and it still said no remixes. I went to the recycle49's remix and it did not say anywhere that it was based off of coka's project. Also, the people who remixed recycle49's remix, showed up in a remix visualization and said the original project was by recycle49. I'm not at all mad at anyone, but this is a major error because there are going to probably quite a few remixers. What should I do?  hmm

That is really strange o.o... I don't think I'd really mind, though.

Everyone's argument is invalid. Your argument is invalid.

Re: WHAT?! I'm having a weird remixing problem

I re-uploaded it telling the other remixers to re-remix the original project, so hopefully they cooperate, so then it will be back on track.  hmm

Re: WHAT?! I'm having a weird remixing problem

It'll probably fix itself in a few days - or you could always try exporting the sprites from your project and importing them into the original project  hmm

I'm afraid I can't help you - Scratch is just too buggy.

Yeah, I uploaded a new one and deleted the old one, but I decided that like you said, it will probably fix itself, so I uploaded the old one with the same project name and project notes, and it looks like Scratch has a nifty little system where it will restore your project with the comments you had and the old upload number (like project number: 1158722). It must not have been deleted completely off the server yet, so it thought I was updating it.  tongue  Well hopefully it works its problems out.  hmm  Thanks everyone.

Well, after a few days, there has been some correction, but there are still ten (as of July 5th) remixes that are not recorded on the visualization.

Thanks coolstuff, I think this problem is going to be looked into a little deeper because I contacted the Team. I just want to leave this open for now because the discussion may continue.  wink

Re: WHAT?! I'm having a weird remixing problem

I think the problem was caused by the renaming, deleting and then reuploading of the first project.

Thanks for the reply Andres  wink ,
Well, the first remix, which was not recorded on the Visualization, was on the very first project that was not deleted or renamed, because it was remixed literally minutes after I uploaded it for the first time...  hmm  It just seems weird. Amos told me how to look into the Project Summaries to find anything different between the projects that are on the Visualization, and the projects that are not on the Visualization. I found some small differences, and I e-mailed him the results. If you want the results or have access to them, you can check them out to see if they display the issue.  hmm

Same problem. I get 12 messages about remixes and they are all the same project!
