So there was this guy, who lived in an apartment. He went in the elevator to go to his floor, and saw that the man running the desk had been replaced. Before he steps in the elevator, the new man asks, "Are you for good or bad?" The other man answered, "Good." After the man steps out of the elevator to go back to his room, the other man asks him another question; "Are you for peace or war?" The other man answered, "Peace." He thought the man was a little strange with his questions. At about one in the morning, the man is up in his room doing something on his computer for work, when he hears footsteps in the hallway. He figures it must just be the night guard, but in busts the replacement man, holding a gun. The man was scared and shocked. The replacement said, "I have one more question for you. " The other man asked, "What happened to the Guard?" The other man replied, "He wasn't very smart- he got this question wrong. Now this next question's answer must be most truthful AND pleasing." He pointed the gun up to the other man. "Am I sane or insane?"

That's not how the story goes, but it's close. I looked it up, but couldn't find it- you could ask Gettysburg11 about it, because he goes to my school and read the same thing, but he has a better memory than me.

Omg that one in that magazine?

So these two parents get a clown statue for their room and put it in there. Then they have a babysitter for their two kids (A boy and girl) and they want to watch TV in their mom/dad room. So they go in and then they end up getting the babysitter (a girl lol) to cover it with a sheet. I'm not certain about the end... but the statue was a real person and yeah... how good did that work out?

EDIT: Not mine, google it? So-and-so's friend, a girl in her teens, is babysitting for a family in Newport Beach, Ca. The family is wealthy and has a very large house — you know the sort, with a ridiculous amount of rooms. Anyways, the parents are going out for a late dinner/movie. The father tells the babysitter that once the children are in bed she should go into this specific room (he doesn't really want her wandering around the house) and watch TV there.

The parents take off and soon she gets the kids into bed and goes to the room to watch TV. She tries watching TV, but she is disturbed by a clown statue in the corner of the room. She tries to ignore it for as long as possible, but it starts freaking her out so much that she can't handle it.

She resorts to calling the father and asks, "Hey, the kids are in bed, but is it okay if I switch rooms? This clown statue is really creeping me out."

The father says seriously, "Get the kids, go next door and call 911."

She asks, "What's going on?"

He responds, "Just go next door and once you call the police, call me back."

She gets the kids, goes next door, and calls the police. When the police are on the way, she calls the father back and asks, "So, really, what's going on?"

He responds, "We don't HAVE a clown statue." He then further explains that the children have been complaining about a clown watching them as they sleep. He and his wife had just blown it off, assuming that they were having nightmares.

The police arrive and apprehend the "clown," who turns out to be a midget. A midget clown! I guess he was some homeless person dressed as a clown, who somehow got into the house and had been living there for several weeks. He would come into the kids' rooms at nights and watch them while they slept. As the house was so large, he was able to avoid detection, surviving off their food, etc. He had been in the TV room right before the babysitter right came in there. When she entered he didn't have enough time to hide, so he just froze in place and pretended to be a statue.

Re: What is the scariest story you ever heard?

Ok, here's a good one I know (did not make this one):

A woman coming home from a trip is driving, and the path leads through a dense forest.  She's been through this forest several times and drives into it.  It's still light even in the forest so her headlights are off.  A truck is driving behind her.

After a few minutes of driving the truck driver turns on his headlights.  The woman turns around out of reflex, but as soon as she turns the headlights turn off.  A few minutes later the headlights come on again.  A bit weirded out, the woman turns, and they turn off again.  This continues for quite some time.

They exit the forest and the woman pulls up to a gas station.  The truck pulls up behind her, the driver gets out with a bat and smashes her rear window.  The woman screams and runs away.  The police arrive much more quickly then would be expected.

In the trunk of her car, a man was hiding.  He had a knife, and would get up to stab the woman.  Every time he popped up, the guy in the truck saw him and turned on his headlights to warn the woman.   The man would go back down each time the headlights came on.  The man in the truck had also called the police while driving, explaining their quick appearance.

Yeah, that's the one! Except in the one I heard, he was a serial killer...

lol don't we all learn it at camp? Not exactly creepy I guess. I mean, backseat would be worse than trunk... you'd need to open the trunk?

Well, I thought it'd be clear that the trunk isn't closed off from the rest of the car (as many cars do)...

Yeah but if he killed her the car would go out of control and he'd die too... Or is that the point of insanity?  yikes

I learned mine at a sleepover... And there was this weird chair thing in their basement where we were sleeping that looked like a cyclops and was scaring us...
