Volume Setting

You should be able to turn off sound in a project. Say, one game had really annoying music, but great gameplay. The only thing to do would be to turn off the sound on your computer, but what if you wanted to listen to a different song while you play? That's why I think we need this feature.

Re: Volume Setting

You can set volume to zero, through one of the Scratch blocks. Download it, and set the sound to zero.

Re: Volume Setting

You can use the volume block to set the volume down to 0, though that block doesn't work online.

There's also this neat little thing if you have Windows called the "mixer" - I use it all the time. Sometimes when I'm on a website with music on it, I use the mixer to turn the volume for certain programs down. To use it, just use the usual volume icon in the taskbar, but then select "Open Mixer" or something like it, and it lets you control the volume for individual programs. Handy!

This feature will still be useful for Mac & Linux users.

That's only for one sprite.

then you can put the script on all of them, or make a variable system.

Except that it doesn't exist on those OSes.  smile

Re: Volume Setting

I meant the feature I suggested. Still, what if you listened to a song on YouTube? Mixer wouldn't work for that, unless you had two different browsers.

Yes, it has been suggested before that there be a volume slider in the online player... Somewhere in the grey bar where the Green Flag and Stop buttons are.
