Yes, definitely! This might not seem like much, but it really is discouraging when editing sprites with lots of costumes.

I think that's a bit much for Scratch's Paint Editor - but if you really want more text and no other editors, just paint over your text and move to another place.

Yeah... this would be really helpful - lots of times I've decided to rewind a long way, finding I could only go a few steps - I had to undo it all manually. Dx

I support 1 and 3. 

EDIT: I'm fine with 2 as well, but I don't think it's as important... other editors are always an option.

1. Very annoying, and would be a good idea to be fixed 
2. I do most of my Sprites in Scratch, so the more options the better! 
3. The reason Scratch allows you to to undo only for a few times may be related to saving memory space. Even in programs like Microsoft Paint allow you to only undo certain amounts of times, so I really don't know if it will be implemented.

Great idea 

I know, I'm full of them, eh?

When you think about it, it actually does solve a myriad of problems with the Paint editor; specifically thel lack of textual layers. However, it may be a little bit difficult for new users to understand.
