But I'm making sure I get a 3DS as soon as they're released in the Uk xD

It's impossible for the 3DS's effects to be displayed in a trailer or video of any sort, you'll have to see a real one for yourself.

It is true 3D... And it doesn't require the use of glasses! How utterly useful
The pictures you'll see of it just won't be accurate because, well, cameras don't quite work the way human eyes work. From what I gather, it does the 3D effect using what's called Autostereoscopy, which is too complicated for my brain to comprehend. If you want to try figuring it out, here's the Wikipedia article for Autostereoscopy.
BTW, I edited the title of this to get some excessive, and annoying excalamation marks out of the way.

This is what I find weird xD
I keep looking at game previews and they just look like normal Ds games (with great graphics) since the 3D can't be displayed on our screens. Yet all the reviews and captions say "the 3D is amazing".

3D. Ah yes....3D. I hope it works this time. Quick History of 3D in gaming: Sega VR: Planned Sega Genesis add-on, canceled. Virtual Boy: 3D console by Nintendo, few games, caused headaches, didn't do to well. (to be blunt) And that's kinda it. There were some VR Arcade games, (Pac-Man VR, etc.) but not many. This could be interesting if it works.

3DS looks amazing. A 3D screen without glasses on a portable game console? With a camera that can take pictures in 3D, and a tilt sensor, and improved graphics? That can't possibly go wrong.
Microsoft and Sony don't stand a chance.

Don't be so sure, dude. Nintendo tried 3D before, and boy did it fall on it's face. It could, though.

The 3DS is adding modern 3D effects to an already top-selling console, the Virtual Boy was made before the technology needed to pull it off existed.

I think once you add you points to a DSi or Wii you have to use on that console D: Unless you got a card and haven't added them to the console, you lost $30...

It wasn't JUST the hardware, mind, that killed the Virtual Boy, it was the game library.
The hardware DOES look good, but we need games for a successful console. You would not BELIEVE how many superior systems lost to less powerful ones.

play gba games!? ok lets think about this- handhelds are about 2 generations back. when we had the n64 we had a handheld nes, when we had gamecube we had a handheld snes (gba). now nintendo has confirmed that i would have gamecube leve graphics. so WHY would you play gba games witch are 2 generations old on somthing gamecube level. now it can ply ds games. ps: the 3ds is a whole new game system not just another ds.

Guitar Hero for the DS.
The DSi got rid of GBA slot, and everyone with a DSi couldn't play.
