New Scratchers become Members when a Moderator manually changes their rank  smile .

Just keep being active and stick to the forum rules and you'll soon be upgraded ^^.

What is happening is you need a certain number of posts to go one rank up. I'm not sure where that rank is though.

All it is is something the scratch team put in so companies cant come on scratch and have spammy spaz attacks for avertising. So they made the 17 minute rule for "new scratchers". My advise hang in there i'm pretty sure it wears off after 10 or so days after joining  tongue .
PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong.

From what I know, you get upgraded after a certain period of time.

I thought it was the 10 minute rule...

And I believe that the New Scratcher rank was issued because of a bunch of trolls that came on the forums... I didn't see it, but that's what I've heard.
