It's been suggested before, I'm afraid... hmm I *think* we're trying to cut down on the stickies at the moment - but this thread is still very active, and it's often close to the top, so a lot of people see it anyway smile

Having a fully open automated list (or really any list at all) of the top posters often encourages spam, as people try to pad their postcount with posts they may not have put a lot of thought into (like some people are doing in this thread); this is especially true on a forum with a large (and young) memberbase such as this one. Post quantity doesn't equal post quality.

The user list wasn't just a list of top posters... you could search a lot of things. Andrés said they removed the list because people could find all the good accounts to hack (which you could do with the list). smile
