A java applet would do. It wouldn't have to be flash.

Right, but Scratch is being rewritten in Flash anyway, so a Flash version would make the most sense.

Yeah, with a Flash version there would be no need to rewrite everything in a new programming language or anything - a Java applet would take a lot of time and energy compared to Flash, from which you could just copy most of the code to create this.
I always used to think this was a little out there, but with Scratch 2.0 being written in Flash, I now support
