How to create a rusty sphere on GIMP

0. Download this image and open it in GIMP
1. Filters > Map > Map Object
Special options:
Map to: Sphere
Transparent Background: Yes
2. Filters > Render > Clouds > Difference Clouds
Random Seed: 3656211894
3. Colors > Colorize
Hue: 30
Saturation: 47
Lightness: 0
4. Filters > Light and Shadow > Lighting Effects
Light > Intensity: 0.65
Drag the blue dot in the preview window whereever you want it.

Done! Feel free to give me feedback and/or post your results of this tutorial!

That's because of the Map to Object dialog, it stretches the thing. >_<
If you make that on a quadratic image, it would be a sphere.

Download GIMP, make an image with the tutorial, in step 1 you'll understand what I mean.
