Would It be possible to make scratch into an Application for the Ipod?

There was an app that you could view projects with, but Apple removed it from the App Store
Someone was making a Scratch programming app a while ago, but I can't remember if they are following through with it... I'll get the link
EDIT: Here's the link: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic … 79&p=1

You have a really good point. You actually *can* run iPhone apps on an iPad, with a larger screen, and Scratch projects are small enough to fit on the screen of an iPhone.

I think that it would be interesting to see. Also more often that not when I have an Idea for a game I'm not at a computer . Let me know if someone is planning to make one please.

It COULD work, but Probably not on iPhone. Many, many, MANY projects use the keyboard, and with the already small display, it would be near impossible to see well. iPad would be the way to go. Also, if those rumor...THINGS I heard about Scratch being converted to Flash are true, (I doubt they are) then Steve would throw a hissy fit, (Sorry, Apple fans) and the chances would become zero. Bummer.

The problem with the old Scratch app was that it connected to the website, this website, turning it into another app store with thousands of apps. The problem was that Apple doesn't know what's on this website, and on the real app store they check apps before they are allowed to be downloaded, to make sure they don't have illegal or copyrighted content in them. ANYWAYS, I guess you could make a Scratch app that you could just make things on and not upload or download too. That would be fine with me

The reason they took it off had nothing to do with those changes; they only took it off because it contained code interpreters that you aren't allowed to put into apps.
Like Jens said, they've changed their terms of what can be on the App Store, the Scratch app should be back up shortly

It was made, but Apple deleted it. I think that the many iPod's screens are a little too small, but maybe they could make an app with the new iPad ^^ the screen is huge!! But it might not work on the iPhone 'cause most projects need the keyboard and I have an issue with seeing the keyboard 'cause the screen is so small. But maybe they could make an app for not just Apple, but other smartphones like the Palm Pre, HTC, etc.

Unofrtunately, it's been two years since you posted that and it's still not back.

Yeah, it transpired that they didn't let the app up, anyhow.
