As for taking a screenshot, I find the easiest way is to press the "Print Screen" button (looks like "prt scn," usually on the same button as "pause/break," and at the top of the keyboard above the arrow keys) and then control+V it into Microsoft Paint. Then, you can crop the image as you like, and then save it and upload it to the Scratch website! It takes time, but it gets the job done.

If you have a Mac, you can take a screenshot by pressing command+shift+4 and then select the area where your project is. It's quite handy 

I use that feature all the time! That's how I got my first picture, the Scratch cat with the rifle, from one of my projects. Now I have that Animated GIF in my signature as my picture.

If you have a Windows, you can press Control+PrintScreen (PrintScrn).

Or you can just right-click on the thumbnail, click "Save Image as..." and upload it as your picture. This works well because Scratch project thumbnails are about the same size as icons.

Ah, that's quite smart    I wouldn't have thought of that.
