Is it possible to open a Scratch project in BYOB?

Since BYOB is faster, I wanted to open a project in it. Is it possible? How?

Yes, it's possible, but if you save it with BYOB you won't be able to open it with Scratch.

Re: Is it possible to open a Scratch project in BYOB?

I'm not planning on saving it. Here's the story:
I'm making fractals. They take forever to render. I want to be able to run it on BYOB (not script it or save it, just run it) so I don't have to wait a half hour every time I want to test it. Is there a way to save it in a format that will allow it to run on BYOB? Thanks.

Can't you just open regular Scratch projects?

Re: Is it possible to open a Scratch project in BYOB?

Hi scmb1,

we're working hard on making BYOB read any Scratch project. If BYOB cannot read your project I'd definitely like to investigate why this is the case and fix BYOB accordingly. Since it's a Scratch project, can you post it somewhere here or send it to our BYOB bugtracking site? Thanks!

Re: Is it possible to open a Scratch project in BYOB?

Hi scmb1_prime,

thanks for posting this project! I've just checked with the latest version of BYOB (2.99.018) and found out two things:

   1) it does load now in BYOB
   2) it runs incredibly slow in BYOB

So, bear with me as I investigate into speeding BYOB up again  smile

Re: Is it possible to open a Scratch project in BYOB?

Did you try using normal scratch and setting single stepping to turbospeed?

bye 1.4, we all loved you. but we all outgrew the site. 2.0 is a welcome change.
