Yeah - bumping topics is OK if they haven't been active for a while (usually a day or longer). However, if you find that you're bumping several times in a row, you might want to delete your old bumps - it makes the topic easier to read 
Also, some people might get annoyed if you bump your topic too often... make sure you leave time between bumps
