You constantly say that violent games aren't allowed. So why are there sooo many violent projects on Scratch. Things like Halo and Half life and Call of duty.

Most of them aren't really that violent, although i play the real things, i don't agree that they should be on a website that children under ten are part of.

Can a member of the Scratch Team please comment?

Sure! It depends on the game, and the level of violence. You should check out this thread for a longer discussion / explanation.

Basically, a lot of Scratchers really like games that are mildly violent, and invest a lot of time and effort creating them. After thinking about it, we decided that we can tolerate mild violence in games, as long as it doesn't go past a certain level. The discussion in the thread above talks about our criteria for evaluating projects - check it out.

Yep, I've seen that before. But there are some games like Halo with lots of blood and just really not nice.

For projects, it doesn't matter if there are warnings posted on it...if it's not kid-friendly, it doesn't belong on the site. Warnings are not considered effective since they can't actually stop a younger member from running the project. I hope that helps make things clear
