Recently I have noticed that projects that I have posted are not showing the correct download count. Here is an example of a project that was downloaded at least twice (since it has remixes by two separate people) yet it only reports one download:
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Paddle2See/171502
Here's another one where the comments indicate that at least four people have downloaded it, yet the project is not showing any download count at all:
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Paddle2See/173249
Maybe, in attempting to foil the people who artificially jack up the download count, the Scratch team has introduced a glitch of some sort? I would be interested to hear if other people have experienced similar things.

I noticed that! I downloaded somebody else's project at least three times, and when I came back to it again, it said nobody had ever downloaded it!

Well, that's two of us anyway...still no word from the Scratch Team so I'll give this a bump.

Hey! You mean 3 of us! I just don't like waiting for that 60 second thing.

Actually, I just downloaded my project to see if the purpose i made it was met (Probably), and it still has 0 downlaods.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Now, if we can only get somebody from the Scratch Development Team to acknowledge the bug...Hello? Anybody from the team?

It was supposed to have at least 2 downloads, but has none. Good news though: It met it's purpose- show how to say random stuff

Hello,

Thank you for looking into it. Is this (the Forums) the prefered approach for reporting bugs or would it better to us the Contact Us link? Or does it depend on the severity of the bug?

Thanks you, Bluestribute, for helping out with that issue. It's people like you that help make Scratch such a great community!

Thanks. And here it is ---> http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/CFCRubiks/181266 <--- I made that for Freestylin_Monkey (If your confused 'cause it says CFCRubiks, it's in show and tell)

For this kind of issue it's better to report it on the forums because it really helps to know that others are experiencing the problem as well. Sometimes it's a problem with a specific OS or browser and the forums make it easier to have a larger sample.

Please try again, it should be working fine now. One thing is that we are now counting only 1 download per user.

That's a good feature to apply so we can't cheat to be on the front page. And I have noticed it working. I now i have 2 downloads for my Pokemon™ Game

I saw two remixs for my game and it said based off my project and On my page it says no downloads and no remixes! I just checked and it doesn't say it.

I'm just guessing here but probably the fix didn't go back and correct the download statistics for old projects (that would be very hard if not impossible to do). But I think they will be correct from now on.

I am not sure exactly when it started...I would say it has probably been happening at least 2 weeks. But I didn't have hard evidence (remixes exceeding the download count) until recently.

I had a similar problem, only it was not saying anybody had downloaded at all.

And yet, there was a remix! And I am quite sure that they are not me, or using my computer.
