I've been scratching on my other account (Technic20) for years, and I've always wanted something- to have the choice to:
ALLOW/DISALLOW people to DOWNLOAD your project
I'm really sick of project "stealers" and when you make a great creation, surely everyone wishes no-one will steal it!
Any comments are greatly Appreciated

I would really like this too, but the point of scratch is to be able to download people's projects and modify them. Sorry, but the scratch team will say no right away.

Scratch is under the creative commons license, so anything like that is illegal.
Sorry.

Tonks, don't try and cheat the filter - that's just rude, and it'll get removed anyway.
Sorry, but I had to report you.

Yep. It's illegal.

It still has the "Based on (insert name here)'s project", so what is the point? The viewers should see that and post a comment saying that it is a remix, and come back to the original.

Cant we report project stealers?

If they give credit for your work, I'm afraid you can't report them - that includes the "Based on the project by ____" link beneath the project. If they don't give credit, you can definitely report them

But the based on the project by ..... comes automatically. Also , some people simply download a project andupload it under their name(With no/very less changes)

Yes, but there are some ways to remove that link by getting under the hood of your projects. If they reupload it with no changes, but the link is still there, I don't think it can be removed.

No, I'm pretty sure if nothing was changed it can be removed...

This idea makes me sick- Imagine scratch go down hill. There is no way for new users to learn without downloads, and I'm sure all the serious programmers would lock downloads and no one would learn anything. I am very sorry but the results of this would be horrific.

QFT. Scratch is meant to be a programming language to learn from, not to make proprietary programs.
