THIS IS NOT A SCRATCH MOD!!!
I am making a programming language in scratch called SIMPL, it isn't released yet, but it will be soon. Here are some projects that show what it looks like and how to use it.
how to use it
what it looks like
current progress
I was wondering if anyone wanted to help me develop this, or give me ideas.
CURRENT PROGRESS: you can type and it can recognize variables you put in using the CREATE VARS '(the variable you want)' command
5/31/10: it can retype code.
6/1/10: I haven't uploaded it, but it has a completely new look (more modern) I'm completely redoing it.
CURRENTLY KNOWN BUGS/GLITCHES:
Only works in turbo mode.

Can I help? I know I'm on Panther, but...
I'm thinking of properties based accessing, like Sprite1.X = 50, or Sprite2.Y = Sprite2.Y + 10.

Oops! I didn't see the 'in scratch' part... I thought it was a mod, but using text instead of blocks...

I think I made it clear.

thanks!
it would be great!
if you're still interested, contact me through a Bingo form (can't share emails on scratch) and i'll get back to you with all the details.

Actually I think I am going to get rid of SIMPL and work on BASIC. I've got another forum for that, but I can't post links so just try to find it (if you're interested)

Yeah, it is. Maybe I'll pick it back up in a little bit but right now I'm trying to teach myself BASIC and make a Scratch compiler for it at the same time.

I tried. My efforts failed! IT DOESN'T WORK! Have a good time figuring out which letter to read.

You can do it in Panther, with the index of ___ in ___ block.

Wow. I can't believe you resurrected this old thread.
I've worked on SO many Scratch programming languages. None of them have been very good. I actually didn't think it was possible to do it until I saw nXIII's Scratch++. It's pretty amazing.

Oh, that uses a Scratch-optimized method in which there's no expression parsing. Doing this speeds up the language but also limits it.
