Since when is swearing allowed here?

It's not, but it seems to get worse every day. Maybe we all need to go back and read the Scratch Terms of Use: http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Terms_of_use

Really? I've only seen the *'s or [removed] things, I've never seen people actually swearing...

That's because of our nice little censoring filter It pretty much censors anything, but people can get past it, unfortunately.

I think we should ask Paddle to add all of the 'work-arounds' to the censor list as well.

*All* of them? That would be pretty hard.

*Many* of them. At least the common ones, like: $=S, and @=A.

The asterisks are when the words have been caught in the filter, and the [removed] text is added by moderators when editing posts in cases of swearing.
All those cases that you've seen were cases of swearing.

I have a browser that blocks a list of words chosen by my parents, and it blocked the first page of the "Blood and Human Victims" thread.

Perhaps you have some words in your filter that are not on the forum's censor list? That's the only thing I can think of

I've never actually noticed it.

Swearing is not allowed on the Scratch website.
If you see a person using foul language, please use the "Report" button in the Forums or "Flag as inappropriate" button on ScratchR to report the post or comment to the Scratch Team or Moderators, and they will take actions against it. ^^

I would be happy to collect a whole list of bad words (including stealthy ones) but i obviously can't post them on the forums. Glad to help, but need to know the following:
- if you'd like me to do it
- how the filter actually works
- where to post them
- what you already have
Thanks!

Lol, it's been done before (by me). But the Scratch Team doesn't seem to have any need for exotic swear words. They only seem to be looking for words that are a common problem, and we've got all those pinned already. ^^

I can't report it, because I can't get to there in the first place.
Also, can you mention the opposite of heaven as a place in your projects? I had an idea for an epic pre-battle quote, but it uses that word.

Hell is not even censored on the forums. Use it, though try not to use it too much/offensively.
