Question...

How do you put a picture in your signature? Like, for example, (If this is OK,) meew0 has a picture in his signature that has their nme on it. How can I get stuff like that on my sig? Thanks.  smile

Re: Question...

1) Draw the picture in a paint program, like the Scratch paint editor, Paint, Photoshop, GIMP, etc. Save it.

2) Go to a free image hosting site. I like to use ImageShack.

3) Click on "view full size" and highlight and copy the url.

4) Go to your profile to change your signature. Put in this BBcode:

Code:

[img]yourimage.com[/img]

If you want to make the image a link, use this:

Code:

[url=thePlaceYouWantTheLinkToGo.com][img]yourimage.com[/img][/url]

Does that help?

EDIT: Looks like dav09 beat me...  hmm

Re: Question...

If you want to link the image, do:

Code:

[url=http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/][img]http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/skins/scratch/logo.png[/img][/url]

May I, dav09?

You can't put Scratch projects in your signature, unfortunately. And why are things so complicated now? I think it's pretty simple, to be honest.

Well, you can put a picture of your project in your sig. Simply right click (or control-click on a Mac) on a picture (the thumbnail) of the project. For example, right click on one of the projects on your stuff page. Then click "Copy Image Location." Then paste it into the BBcode.

Re: Question...

Image Shack. I uploaded an image and then it said, "Upload successful" but when I clicked, "Full Size" nothing came up! Was there an error or something??!!! More importantly, how do I get it on?

Try uploading to TinyPic. I find it much more reliable and simple, and more importantly, I can help you for that particular website whereas I cannot help you for Image Shack. Other users may be able to help you, though.

It is in the wrong format. When you save it in your paint editor, save in as a gif, png, or jpeg. That has happened to me before...

Scratch projects aren't pictures, sadly. D: There would have to be some special player code for siggies in order to do that.

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Like when you save it, the name has to be, say, jpeg? Or the URL? Sorry, I'm really clueless!

To save a picture as a different file type, you'd do this. Let's say we have a picture that you want to name "scratchcat" and save it as a "png" open in a paint editor (eg - GIMP or Paint)

You'd click "Save as", and type this:

Code:

scratchcat.png

You can change "png" to "jpg" or "bmp" or something else, though  smile

I made the picture on Scratch paint editor. Does that change anything? Because it STILL doesn't work when I put the code in!

You still have to put it on an image hosting site.
