Gimp isn't working

It saids Not Responding after going to gradients or fonts. Any suggestions, or some advice?

Inkscape = EPIC FAIL
Gimp = EPIC WIN
CobraPRO or whatever this image editor program is named = EPIC FAIL
Photoshop = EPIC FAIL

Gimp is the once cool program. Try waiting until it is responding.
