How recent is "recent"?

I don't know if anybody has noticed this yet, but if you're searching by tags, you'll notice that sorting by 'recent' will display the most recently uploaded projects containing that tag - this sorting option will come up empty if no projects containing that tag have been uploaded recently (an example can be seen with the tag 'cats', see here).

But I'm wondering: what is the time span for a project to be considered recent?

Re: How recent is "recent"?

Maybe four days? Top Viewed uses that amount, and it seems to focus on recent projects...

Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.

Re: How recent is "recent"?

24 hours, I think - I checked the "game", "simulation", "art", and "animation" tags (because they're popular tags - I figured there'd be a lot of recent projects). I thought 12 hours initially, but then I found a project that was over 12 hours old on there  smile

Re: How recent is "recent"?

I think I have to agree with Wolfie1996 on this one. It's probably about 24 hours, which seems to be pretty short...

That is short o.O

It should be extended a bit.. Or maybe instead of clearing everything after a certain time, list the top 10-20 projects that were last uploaded?

I agree! Maybe it could update in the same way as the "Newest projects" page (eg - 3 new projects are made with a certain tag. Three older ones fall off the bottom of the page)
