I hope I'm not making a horrible mistake by bringing these back.
Survey Question: How do you check the foums?
Do you go to each individual forum and read all the blue posts?
(By individual forum I mean Misc, Announcements, Suggestions Etc.)
Or do you just hit the 'Show new posts' button?
I do the new posts button since it's more conveniant and you can see everything at once. How about you?

1. It's easiest for me.

Well, that explains why no one has seen my post in the request forum

Jeez. Am I the only one who uses that button?

I think I'll try.

Not the surveys themselves, just bringing in a fad. You know how crazy 2010ers are
Mods, methods, and some other things also

I hit the 'Show new posts...' link. It saves time rather than scouring through every individual forum section.
I also click on the 'show recent posts' at the bottom of the main page of the forums if I want a longer list of recently active forum topics.

I'm glad that they're back - I like them.
....................................
I read through the forums from top to bottom, usually checking the active threads and some below that.

I first "once over" all the forums, and check the latest post in each, then I go back and check them all properly using "show new posts". But sometimes, I hit "mark all topics as read" by mistake, so I use "show recent posts" instead.

I think moderators answer differently from normal users.
Moderating the forums - ow! I shall never run for moderator!
...
I check the forums from top to bottom - Announcements first, and Miscellaneous last!
Of course, some people probably visit Miscellaneous first...

I've always checked the forums my way... I find that I don't miss any posts that way
Although I do check the recent reports every now and then - basically, that's the only thing that's changed since last Thursday.

I use the first method:
(in order)
German, Collaboration, Requests, Project Ideas, Miscellaneous, Advanced Topics, (and sometimes) Suggestions, Show and Tell, Troubleshooting, All About Scratch, New Scratch Members, Announcements.

You read every post made each day?

Not every post, but a lot of them. I give them all a quick once over (newest posts method), then I check them more indepth. I have a few threads that I check first because they get targeted with spam, lots of people need help there, etc, then I check Announcements, Show and Tell, New Members and All About Scratch most of the way through. Then, I briefly look through the other forums, replying when I feel the need to say something.
After that, I check the reports over - to see if any new ones have come in. Then, I generally check over posts that interest me - as if I were any other user.

I read whatever's on the list if it interests me
They all show up in the new posts, or if they were posted 24 hours ago, recent posts
