Scratch 1.2.1

Hello.

I have recently upgraded to Scratch 1.2.1. I read in the Downloading page that as long as I didn't uninstall my old version of Scratch, I wouldn't lose my projects.

When I opened Scratch 1.2.1, it replaced my old version of Scratch! Now none of my unfinished projects are there anymore!

I'm confused. Can anyone help?

Re: Scratch 1.2.1

If you have a windows...

go to 'Computer'>'Documents & Settings'>'Program Files'>'Scratch'>'Projects'

That should work. Since I'm not using the mac at the moment, I can't tell you about macs.

Re: Scratch 1.2.1

Then you might want to go searching around the folder 'Scratch'. If you still can't find your projects, I'm stumped!

Although it will probably take awhile, you might try searching the entire hard disk for the following:

*.sb

That should find all of the scratch project files anywhere on the disk.  Once again, however, be prepared for a very long wait for the search to finish, depending of course on the amount of data that is on the disk.

That is a good idea! And yes, it does take a long time. On macs, however, it only takes a matter of a second or two!

Re: Scratch 1.2.1

Actually, now I'm kinda happy I lost my data. I had WAY to much stuff that just took up space.

Unless the projects were actually erased when you installed v1.2.1, the files are still there taking up space.  You just can't see them from within Scratch.

Really? Only a second or too? is that because you just type it in the Finder?
