NEW game genres?

There are many existing game genres, with patformers and shooters probably being the most popular.  Match 3 (bejewelled), and tetris type games rank up there as well.

Does anyone have any ideas for a new, unique, or just different game genre for Scratchers?

I've gone back to my childhood and recreated games like Pong and Pacman and Space Invaders and Frogger, but those are replicas of existing games, not something new.

I guess I'm just bored and looking for something new to work on.

Any ideas?

Well, puzzle games like Colkadome's are pretty fun to me - I can never seem to come up with ideas like his! They aren't incredibly common on this website, so those are my pick  smile
