Shocking coincidence!

Get this. I was surfing the 'net, when I felt something crawl up my back. I reached back to grab it, and I saw a spider. Feeling adrenaline rush through my body (and severe arachnophobia kick in), I flung that spider to the ground and ran to the master bedroom. I told mom what happened, and she was shocked, explaining that she dreamed about a spider just recently. My dad, a sort of comedian, just laughed, "Well, that's what you get when you surf the web!" I joined in the laughter, and finally worked up the courage to whack it with a book.

I am NOT going through that again.

Re: Shocking coincidence!

i'm really afraid of spiders and won't go near them, however if one is on me i'm surprisingly calm because i know that the only way to get it off is to be careful and it won't hurt me until i try to hurt it.

however if one lands on me that's a different matter, i'm only calm if it's already there.

Re: Shocking coincidence!

There arn't many big spiders in the UK

Catching Spiders The Glass Method
Have a glass that you don't want? Have an old leaflet lying around? Is there a big spider right in front of you? Well do this

1. With the piece of paper in one hand and the glass in the other, gently, but quickly, put the glass over the spider.

2. Put the paper over the bottom of the glass, trapping the spider when you lift the glass up.

3. Finally, go outside and release the spider. Us Brits are kind.  big_smile

I love spiders, especially the leetle ones. They're so cute! 3: I try not to kill them usually.

Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Yesah. I like teh little jumpy spiders. They eat the huge brown recluses. My dad took a picture of a little jumpy one and it looked like a teddy bear! :3

Re: Shocking coincidence!

I love killing them. If I see one, I just pick it up and slowly crush it to death. I've killed over 100 spiders this way but recently, 2 escaped and I've been hunting them. Of course, I'm sure they're dead, but I'm still paranoid about them getting away

Re: Shocking coincidence!

Many are saying I could have released it, but I have EXTREME arachnophobia. On top of that, it crawled up my BACK. I'm usually not terrified of spiders near me, but if it's on me...

Re: Shocking coincidence!

I have a HUGE arachnophobia. If I see a spider of any size, I pretty much freeze.  sad  But they're so awesome and cool to research about.  big_smile

Especially the trapdoors. Just imagine being a cockroach, and then suddenly a rock opens up and a huge, hairy spider grabs you in an instant.  yikes
