Symphony of Science

http://www.symphonyofscience.com/

I find this website to be one of the most amazing discoveries I've every stumbled upon.

It consists of 5 auto-tuned songs, the lyrics of which are "sung" by some of world's greatest scientists. All of the lyrics were taken from their actual lectures, none of them were staged.

If you listen to these songs and think it will change the way you view the universe.

Enjoy and discuss  big_smile

I find the videos to be some of the most revealing, illuminating, and beautiful things I've ever seen and heard.

That was pretty neat. It sounded a bit like Fireflies.

Similar, yes, because of the auto-toned voices  smile

A couple of my favorite quotes from the videos:

"I know the molecules in my body are traceable to phenomena in the cosmos . . . and that makes me want to grab people in the street and say, have you heard this?" -Neil deGrasse Tyson

"A still more glorious dawn awaits, not a sun-rise but a galaxy rise, a morning filled with 400 billion suns, the rising of the Milkyway" -Carl Sagan

"Science replaces private prejudice with publicly verifiable evidence." -Richard Dawkins

Re: Symphony of Science

To be honest, I didn't think science was at all poetic at first.

These tunes made me change my mind about that idea. I'm amazed.

"Science is the poetry of reality."
