Re: Question for moderators

No - we can't access each other's profile pages (that is, the page with the link for banning on, among other things, such as post count, signatures, etc).  smile

We can ban ourselves, though (not that I'm gonna try that any time soon  tongue ).

And as JSO said, I'm not sure we'd have any reason to...

I wonder why we can't access eachother's profile pages? And also why we have the option to ban ourselves?

Re: Question for moderators

1. Probably so that if someone gets into one of our accounts, and causes a lot of trouble, they won't be able to block other mods, who could clean up the situation. Although, then it would make sense to give the other mods power to ban the account that got broken into, so that the person could be stopped... And then what? The person would be able to ban the other mods, so that they couldn't ban him...  hmm  I have confused myself...

2. Incase we spot ourselves spamming?  tongue  I have no idea...

Re: Question for moderators

If one of the moderators started doing really bad things. What would you do then?

Re: Question for moderators

Personally, I would contact the Scratch Team. Then, I'd move any inappropriate posts out of sight to be checked over later, and hope that a Scratch Team member sees the contact soon.

But don't worry - we were chosen to be mods because we've proven ourselves to be generally friendly in the community - that means there is very little chance of any of us doing something like that. And we all should have strong passwords, so it's unlikely that anyone would get into our accounts.  smile

Re: Question for moderators

Well you don't actually know how strong the passwords of the other moderators are.

Re: Question for moderators

Don't do this: *insert Illusionist's plan to take over Scratch here*.  tongue

Due to most oBB restrictions, it's almost impossible to ban another moderator. No one would ever dare to anyway... they'd face the wrath of the Scratch Team if it was possible and someone did that.

Re: Question for moderators

What about banning the IP of a moderator and not the actual account? That works.
Of course, it doesn't work on admins though

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Well, seeing as calebxy got more moderators than he asked for, you'd get a whole mountain of candy!  big_smile
