Fading away....sorta.

Sometimes I think my Scratch life is fading away, due to people who hurt my feelings and think I  don`t HAVE any at all. They all call me powerplayers, just because in a project I remixed and Doodle used her Thundershock to paralize(Is this a typo?) the Shoop da Whoop and just because a hamster touched the lazer for ONE second by an accident. Oh yeah, on the Pokemon moon, there was a scratcher complaining about my signature on the Pokemon Moon RPG. It said "Please give me a few platinum coins so I can buy a Riolu..." I wasn`t BEGGING, was I?

Oh yeah you don`t have to tell me to flag the comments, because I will.

Paralyze

I have a feeling it all went downhill from when you "quit". Try starting over and not telling anybody about your new account, it worked for me  smile

What'll you miss, specifically? You could still end up making friends with the same people...

You can still make friends with them again.

I am not sure how bad it is, but you are probably overreacting. Powerplaying? It was a project not an RPG from what I can understand.

Worked for me too. I am [user], but I still like to be Henley. And I was once henleytg, but I lost my password (long story, don't ask) and made henley, and I was SUCCESSFUL.

Or you could just quit Scratch altogether.

And not quit and come back in five hours. I mean leave completely.

I probably won't quit on here for a while.  Maybe in about four years... I'll be eighteen then!

Re: Fading away....sorta.

Hate gives me energy on the internet, in a such a way, ego. As I remember making scratch   parodies of other scratcher's projects while giving them full credit. Almost all of them were flagged, comments full of hateful remarks of me, that just powered me, as my troll war machine raged on. Till I saw the banhammer.... Just live on hate and you will survive on the internet.

Are you suggesting that perhaps there is an unhealthy psychological dependency to the internet here...and that taking some time off would be the best thing in the long run?   That might be good advice to give, as a friend, if that is what you think is happening.  It's kind of you to consider what is best for your fellow Scratcher's - thanks for looking out for them.

I'm not sure if that is the case here...I don't know that much about internet addiction, only what I have read casually.  We may just have a case here of some minor disputes that can perhaps be resolved with better communication among the different people involved.  I doubt if we are going to be able to do much as a group and maybe the forums aren't the best place to deal with this.

Hate is certainly a strong motivator.  But I don't think it's a healthy one to base your life on.  Hate usually grows where there is hate to start with...maybe you should try and break the cycle - you might find it rewarding.  Okay, I'm starting to sound like Dr. Phil now...sorry  smile

Re: Fading away....sorta.

It's all gonna be bread and butter what doodle is hearing.

1. Ignore them
2. Flag them
3. Contect the scratch team if it gets too bad.
You've probably tried these things before.

How about something else? If you tell them to leave, they most likely will.

"If you have come here just to flame me then I suggest you leave *user here*"

Obiously you don't want a whole line of them. That would amost make it worse. Differnt things every time.

If all else fails, create a new account.

Re: Fading away....sorta.

Ugh, people will be people.

If it's really bad, then take a break. Let off some steam, (in the real world) and come back.

Another option would to be create a new secret account, but I suppose you'd miss the feeling of people knowing you.

Or you could quit all together. (I'm not recommending this one, as I hate seeing Scratchers quit for reasons like this)

Or, just completely ignore them. That's what I would do.

Re: Fading away....sorta.

Like Kiwi said, people will be people.  lol  Some people are bakas, and don't know what emotion is. Others KNOW what emotion is,and somehow manage to hurt everyone who lays eyes on them without noticing (me. T_T).THEN,there are the most epicly awsome poeple of all: They KNOW what emotions are,and they NEVER hurt ANYONE. 8D Ignore the first trwo and stick with your buddies. Best thing you could do.

But dont quit. I don't comment much (wich is because me person type 2),but i DO watch some of your projects. Epic win-ness.
