Well, I'm 13, and I can't convince my mom to even let me play Halo (yet) at other peoples houses    Different rated M games have different levels of inappropriateness to younger audiences. Have you seen the very first level for call of duty 5 (world at war)? Their is an F-word in the first 3 minutes. Thats a game for people 17+. What about Grand Theft Auto? That shouldn't even be a game. Couldn't the makers of that game think of a better thing to be in a game than a criminal? And I'm sure their have been 10 year olds playing stuff like that, next thing you know, there thinking "When I grow up, I'm gonna be a criminal like Al Capone!". Anyway, I think the meaning of M can vary. Some rated M games, like Halo, are just bloody, which apparently doesn't bother most kids, with nothing much else bad. Other games, like that western game I keep seeing ad's for on You tube, have everything that comes with a rated R movie: Violence, Language, Nudity, *other stuff*, Drugs. Most of the time though, just to rap it up, for me M means around 14 and up. p.s. I'm not good at articles like this

The F word? Seriously, have you seen people these days, most people 2 years younger than me say it. That is no reason to make it 17+

M means nothing to me. I can handle violence, swearing and other themes younger than 18.

Tbh, I think most people in their teens, (e.g. me) are mature enough.

People say that if you play shooting games you'll grow up and shoot someone. That's just stupid. They're acting like I don't have any maturity or common sense. It annoys me.

I hate the people who say that -_- I play shooters, but the only reason I'd shoot a real person is for self-defense.

Look, here's what I don't understand. How come parents let there kids play rated M games, but not let them watch rated R movies? I mean letting there 10 year olds play rated M and not watch R movies. I understand most rated M games aren't nearly as bad as most rated R movies, but some still are. So which do you think is worse, watching people pretend to kill each other, or being the one who pretends to kill people? You decide.

guys i been playin grand theft auto since 8 and i know that when i grow up i will not be like carl in san andreas i die and get arrested in the game and i never will in real life i hope i never die but EVERY ROSE HAS ITS THORN JUST LIKE EVERY NIGHT HAS ITS DAWN

M means mature. (I love the deep voice when watching trailers) but that's the guidence. People may see it as a 15, some a 21, though that would be too far.

My five-year-old nephew plays M-rated games, and I can't even get anything above E10+.
