I sometimes get this ‘Security Error: Domain Name Mismatch.? It says, “You have attempted to establish a connection with “scratch.mit.edu . However, the security certificate presented belongs to “scratch.media.mit.edu . It is possible, though unlikely, that someone may be trying to intercept you communication with this web site. If you suspect the shown certificate does not belong to “scratch.mit.edu , please cancel the connection and notify the site administrator. Then it shows buttons called, “View Certificate, “OK, and “Cancel. What the heck does this all mean?!

It happens when you search for something. As far as I know, it's because there's an http:// adress and an https:// adress. When this happens, just go into the adress bar and take away the 's'

But that doesn't tell me how to prevent it from showing!

I don't want it to show, ever!

But it'll be easier to search for the project instead of going through a lot of * to get it!

No, no! You can still search for it! Just do your search, blahblahblah, etc. ahsdkjfhlszkdbfawenbrf... then click on whatever you want to click on, then it'll say 'certificate error blahblahblah... etc.' then you just go to the adress bar and take out the 's'!

Look at andresmh's post on this topic:

It should tell you about it.
