My questions: What are the powers?
Does this apply to TBG moderators as well?

Well, you get more range of your iron fist.  big_smile

It probably means you can delete projects that are inappropriate.

I'm guessing...  hmm

And removing comments, maybe... the stuff that the Scratch Team can normally do?  hmm

Chrischb's ideas are probably more accurate than mine.

Aren't you two brothers...?

My guess is that only the four will get it
Not the normal mods or TBG mods

The "normal mods" have also become Community Moderators...  smile

That's simply because there can only be one moderator group at a time on these types of forums

And illusionist, I thought you was in Texas?

I doubt that... the TBG mods are there specifically for the TBG.  smile

No, the Scratch Team said that all the mods on the main Forum will get it. ^^

Besides, it's not logical for just the temporary mods to get it because: 1. They're temporary 2. The "normal mods" have more experience

I don't think illusionist is going to abuse his powers.  smile

Um... can anyone tell me what the powers are?

Re: About the powers over the website for moderators...

The name change was to emphasize that community moderator's roles and leadership extends to the website as well as the forums.

We're still considering exactly what their "powers" will be, so I can't give you any concrete answers at this point.  smile  But as with forum mods, it ain't really all about how they use their special powers. Good moderation is more subtle than just moving or closing threads and cleaning up spam.  Check out the Moderator Guidelines for a longer description...

http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Community_Moderator_Guidelines

As for the specific powers - we'll announce them to everyone when we decide (and have time to implement) them.
