Hi!
I think it would be helpful if:
1. You could delete any comments you made
2. You could delete any tags you made
3. You could remove your name from someone's friends list
I think these would be very helpful! Say you accidently posted a comment or tag. You can just delete it! Say a random guy you don't like adds your name to his friend's list. Delete away! These are not only helpful, but they make a LOT of sence.

The "friends" list is really misnamed. It currently has 2 uses:
1) It provides an easy way to keep pointers to people's MyStuff pages. This allows you to find new projects by programmers whose work you like. It may have nothing to do with whether you like the person, or they like you.
2) It provides a way to control who can post on your galleries. This is rather awkward at times, since you may have different galleries for which you want different groups of allowed posters (for example, a teacher may want a different gallery for each class).
Since the "Friends" list has nothing to do with friendship, it should be renamed (perhaps "Favorite scratchers" for meaning (1) and "Allowed posters" for meaning (2), with the "Allowed posters" associated with the gallery, rather than with the owner.
Note that neither the "Favorite scratchers" nor "Allowed posters" listings should allow the named user to remove their names.

All Scratch "accounts" are open in the sense that if you post a project, anyone can download it.
Personally, I use Friends to mark people whose work I think is of interest. I check on these Scratchers every once in a while to see what cool projects they may have done. I sometimes look at the work of people on their Friends list, figuring that they are also "linking" to interesting Scratchers.
If you don't look at someone's page you won't see their "Friends" list, so don't fret about it; Listing you as a Friend doesn't give the "lister" any special access to you other than a shortcut to your page so they can easily visit to look at your work. Take is as a compliment. The more people that have you as a Friend, the more chances others will come across your work...

Friends are not really friends as many people have pointed out. I am leaning towards changing it to "Fans". Because people who added you to their friends are actually fans of your work (typically).

But the "fans" are the ones who follow you, not the ones you follow.
It would be nice to have both lists available, but not taking up space on the "my stuff" page. I've found it very annoying to go to someone's my stuff page to see their projects and have to wait a long time as it loads hundreds of images of "friends".

Fans would not be correct. If you yourself add somebody to your friends list, that doesn't mean the person is your fan. And people might start adding others to their friends (fans) list just to make people think they have so many "fans". That just wouldn't be right. Even "favorite Scratchers" seems better.
Imo, Friends is better thaan anything. It creates a friendly atmosphere for young members.

How do you delete comments made by your account users? There was an inappriate comment made and several classes of students have access to this account and I want to delete it. Thanks...

Just click the (x) button below the comment.
Hope that helped!

Oops, I'd forgotten there was no "X" there. So far, you can't do that.

He meant comments made by his own account, as a whole class of students have access to it, and one posted something inappropriate... You can't flag your own comment
Even though this is an old suggestion, I think that being able to delete our comments on other people's projects and galleries would be nice - I often post something, then realise that there's a typo...

You can't flag your own comments?
I never noticed!

Or projects... I always thought you could flag your own projects... evidently not. Flagging your own project would be useful if you didn't want it to get on the front page, as some people do...
