1) Why are these suddenly here?

2) I have been having some problems with the messages. For example, on some of my projects, there are a ton of these mesages showing. But, I only deleted a couple of messages, not nearly as much as "There used to be a message here, but it has been removed." there are.

If anyone understands what I am saying, it would help greatly if a scratch team member could answer this one.

The plan is to only show that for a comment that was deleted by an administrator. (So that if a person responds to an offensive post and then the offensive post is deleted, people will understand why the conversation went the way it did.)

But right now those show up whenever the person writing the comment or owning the page deletes a comment. That should not be, and is planned to be fixed.

I will pass along your comment-- hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Thanks for your post. I decided to change the text to: "Comment deleted by the administrators or the owner of the project." I hope prevents confusion.
