I'm not sure if this is everybody or not, I can't record anything properly - It's always sped up, which kills the entire point of recording. I wrote a whole script, and now I only have 2 or 3 days to finish my project. This is for school, and I feel like punching something now. I could have used the 'subtitles' and start the project right away, but I thought I'd be recording etc. I really am angry, but I don't know why this happens.
INFO
Operating System: Windows Vista
Processor: AMD Turion 64 X2(Which is horrible, and my laptop glitches...)
Scratch 1.4
Computer: HP(Hewlett Packard)
Notes: This happens with my computer too. My laptop glitches but is not the reason, since my computer does the 'speed up' too. I tried 'un-compressing' the sounds, failed. This is due soon, and I'll get a horrible mark(sorry for complaining...But the heat bothers me, and makes me act angrier).

Were you using the Scratch Recorder directly?
If you have Windows go to Start > All programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder

Well, it's always possible to record your sounds in another program and then import. I'm afraid that if it's your computer mostly, there's no way to fix that.
*sigh* This will be a problem...I can't do that because Audacity can't save as an .mp3 directly, and that'd still like a long time + Too much memory used + It might not share onto the site, which I need to do. I don't think it's my laptop, since the microphone works wonderfully on every other program.

Hmm... Audacity should be able to save an mp3 if you have the lame (mp3) encoder installed. No, it's not lame as in bad - that's what it's called.
You could also try recording on another computer at school, and then email the sound files to yourself or use a thumb drive...
