You know, in the forums? Some people identify the by name, but I am really lazy, or maybe not. I don't bother to look at the name, and instead look at the signature, because it is usually bigger, and more visual. So now I have these repositories of signatures in my head taking up lots of space....
I know the general shape of them, so I can't describe them fully, but maybe a little bit.
And that's why I hate it when people share the same signature! People without one are fine, but I remember Lucario621, Jonathanpb and Chrischb had this flashy Scratch Wiki orange signature.
How do you identify people?
The reason I like my signature is because mine is one of a kind.

I keep getting annoyed at the Lucario, JSO, Jon, and Chris. Stupid sginatures!!!
But for some people like RHY3756547, I can tell by the little sound I make for everyone in my head because of their posting style.

I generally tell by name- unless they have a large sig with their name (like you) that draws my attention first.
Also my point.
Look at the signature, and bingo.

Really? You use signatures to determine the user? That's so strange...
I use the username, of course!
In fact, I've disabled signatures...

So does that mean you can't see my super awesome signature?
Actually now that I think about it, it's the same one as the one I have at Astrogeek. So you've probably seen it enough

I wouldn't be too sure about that...

Kidding
Anyway, I go by signatures, which gets confusing when more than one person has the same thing... then I go by their name.

What if someone changes their sig?

You look at their name and get another mental image.

Don't worry then, I'll make a special topic and put my signature in it so that you can appreciate the awesomeness

I don't, there's no one worth remembering.

I still can't get over that you use the signature to identify somebody... I mean, isn't it just so much easier to use the username? It's just to the left of the post... And there's so much more information down there!
