Re: SWC (Scratch Web Code)

It's your code I guess. I would have formated it something like this, since it is how almost all the rest of SWC is coded:
<slideshow(0.1)=label;0,0;50;50;image positions,anotherimage,anotherimage;black,grey>
                |         \   |     |                                               ______ |              |
                               |___|_______________________            |                         |
                |     Standard on most SWC objects       |            image code          |
             Wait time                                              |                                      |
                                                                 x&y positions (UL)                First is the
                                                                 x&y size                              outline
                                                                                                          color, then
                                                                                                          the fill.

But really, it is up to you. I have no objection to your code right now, as long as it stays practical.

Re: SWC (Scratch Web Code)

Hey - this looks really cool. I saw some concern at the start of the thread about being blocked for making shared accounts. Don't worry about that - collabs are great! Just be really careful with the password. We just don't want people sharing passwords publically so that trolls get them and spam the place up. But sharing an account for a collab is totally cool. (And by the way, we're talking about ways to make this easier for Scratch 2.0)  smile

I'm going to stick with my code, 'cause I think it is simpler.

Also, as of <clearpen> I'm not going to use the clear block, because that will clear ALL of the text on the screen. I have other tricks up my sleeve.

Finally, in Web wizard, what list contains the websites? Does each website have its own list? If it is a "this sprite only" list, give me the sprite as well.

The Internet list contains all the websites. If you look at the comments on the stage, it will show you the proper way for coding a website. Right now the Internet list is kind of empty, but that is because it was taking too long to open and save.

Re: SWC (Scratch Web Code)

Please keep in mind that when using slideshow, the positions' origin are at the slideshow, not at 0x 0y. So 10x 15y would mean 10 pixels on the X axis from the CENTER of THE SLIDESHOW. 15y would mean 15 pixels higher from the CENTER of THE SLIDESHOW.

Re: SWC (Scratch Web Code)

Updated code:

<slideshow <pen=bk>pos 0,0 coord 10,10;20,20;30,30>

Broken Down:

<pen=[color]>
This is the color that the slideshow is drawn in. (replace [color] with bk, bl, yw, rd, or gn)
bk=black
bl=blue
yw=yellow
rd=red
gn=green

pos

The origin of the slideshow (where on the screen it is)

0,0 is 0x, 0y
10,10 is 10x, 10y
-54, 73 is -54x, 73y etc.

coord

The points that the pen goes to to make lines.
REMEMBER:
These are based off the origin of the slideshow. So:
10,10 is 10x+posx, 10y+posy

So if pos is 100,100, and one coordinate is 10,-20, The pen will go to 10+100, 100-20 or 110, 80.

Coordinates are separated by semi-colons (;).

Re: SWC (Scratch Web Code)

Just to make things simpler, the positions have to have 3 digits. So:

0 is written as 000
1 is written as 001
10 is written as 010
100 is written as 100
1000 is not allowed

If you don't do this, it will give you an error.

I did the originally with all SWC positions, but it is a HUGE pain for users. I would suggest fixing it. Other than that it looks great! Nice work.

Ok, just'll take some effort.

If you use the standard SWC method  for dividing the code into lists, it isn't difficult at all.
