How to speed up game

Hi I have a game called space wars it has 47 sprites and 165 scripts. It is very slow when i play it online. It is perfect when i run it on my computer (my computer also plays games like mw2 very well). How can I speed up the game somehow so other people can play it faster both online and downloaded? - Does compressing it make a difference?

Compressing it might help it work a little bit faster, and if you want it to go faster offline you can try setting single stepping to Turbo. Unfortunately, Scratch is a slow, slow thing - the Scratch team purposefully did that so that it would be easier to understand.

*! If thats the case they made it *. Its easy to make it slow - you dont need to try. Making it faster would be more useful.
